Commercials Interrupting

Recently, video ads have been playing over shows simultaneously. They cannot be dismissed or skipped. I used to like this app, but now it has become very frustrating. The last ad was 2 minutes long and the program I was watching was still playing in the background. You cant see it, but you can hear it. I fail to understand how a glitch so blatant can be missed by professional programmers. Fix it!
